Started in 2015, the AirAsia KL Junior League offers competitive football to Klang Valley-based youth football teams across ability-based divisions in 5 open age groups plus 3 girls-specific age groups in the AirAsia KL Junior Girls League.
Hosted and organised by Maxim Events, the competition aims to improve opportunities for teams and academies in and around Kuala Lumpur. By offering organised competition with confirmed fixtures throughout the season, the league promotes the development of young talent in the Klang Valley and beyond.
Matches are held on Saturday and Sunday mornings at The New Camp in Bandar Utama, Ardence Arena in Setia Alam, and UM Park and UM Varsity at Universiti Malaya – all state-of-the-art football centres providing full-sized artificial turf pitches.
The league runs 2 seasons per year, with the last completed season seeing participation from 92 youth football teams.
