Player Code of Conduct

The following code of conduct has been adapted from the English FA’s Code of Respect. It is the responsibility of all players to play their part and make sure that they and everyone around them has a good time on the pitch and off the pitch.

When playing football I will:

  • Always play my best for the benefit of the team
  • Have a positive attitude and encourage my team mates
  • Play by the rules and respect the referee
  • Be respectful to the opposition, win or lose
  • Listen carefully to what the coach has to say and understand that their decisions are for the best of the team
  • Display self-control in all situations and never use foul or abusive language – before, during or after a game
  • Respect the facilities

I understand that if I do not follow the code of conduct I may:

  • Be asked to apologise to whoever I have upset
  • Receive a formal warning
  • Be dropped, substituted or suspended from activity
